I’m Kristen! I spent the last 2 years in my vanlife era, but now I travel part-time while having a home-base in lovely Ogden, Utah. My passion is documenting authentic love and exploring beautiful places. I’ve been photographing weddings now for 7+ years and have traveled all over the country for some pretty incredible couples.
I have an appetite for adventure: I love type 2 fun, skiing, trail running, and mountain biking. Relationships are a priority for me, and I definitely LOVE my people. In case you’re wondering, I do happen to be a professional quoter of ‘The Office’ and ‘Friends’, so if you are too we will get along just fiiiine.
Quick Questions:
Q: What’s your favorite part to capture at weddings?
A: I LOVE capturing the little unplanned moments, ie sister helping cary the train of the bride’s dress while they walk toward the ceremony, the lifelong friends dancing together to ABBA on the dance floor, grandma crying happy tears watching her grandson marry the love of his life, etc.
BUT my favorite planned moments are almost always: first looks, private vows, and father daughter dances, and when everyone enters the dance floor.
Q: What’s your go to wedding snack?
A: I’m on my feet all day and sometimes forget to eat, so sometimes I throw nerds clusters or gummy bears in my pocket to keep some sugar in me!
Q: What’s your favorite part of weddings?
A: I love, love and people who love each other. I love seeing friends and family gather to celebrate the couple. I love seeing the couple smile ear to ear all day being with their closest people. Watching them shower each other in love during toasts and thanking each other for being such an integral part in their lives. It’s just all beautiful.
Q: Elopements or Weddings?
A: Again, love is love. I don’t care if I’m capturing a big wedding or a ceremony of two. I am just always honored, and so happy, to be there to document the moment.
